I have been working as a full stack mobile and web developer since 2003, currently doing business as myself.
I'm always building something from productivity apps to algorithmic art to games. See the growing list of projects I've released to the public here.
I graduated from Humboldt State in 2002 with a BS in Fisheries biology. Upon returning home I struggled to find work related to my degree. After failing at several jobs from caviar farmer to bank teller I eventually found my home in tech. Thanks to the internet I was able to get my proverbial foot in the door by teaching myself popular web technologies like CSS, HTML, PHP and Flash. I became proficient enough to start taking contract work which ultimately led to my first full time position at a startup somewhere in the great hot state of California.
I've continued to work for small tech companies and startups ever since, building my tech repertoire along the way.
Thanks to the internet I was able to make a career as a self-taught developer. And thanks to the internet I was able to meet my wife with whom I now share a home with our three boys in California.
